Dr. Lee Hing Yan

Hing Yan is a respected ICT veteran with decades of experience, and is known for his ability to combine academic research with practical industry applications.

He spent the early years of his career at the Information Technology Institute, where he honed his data expertise and contributed to software tools used in the 2000 Singapore Census.

In the field of Artificial Intelligence, he led the development of intelligent systems at the Japan-Singapore AI Centre and oversaw industry collaboration on AI research undertaken at Kent Ridge Digital Labs. At the Info-Comm Development Authority (IDA), he drove development of the cloud ecosystem in SIngapore and championed the adoption of the technology in the public and private sectors. He then took on positions of Executive Vice President (EVP) for Government Affairs and APAC at Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) and global director of the CSA STAR programme.

Today, Hing Yan has shifted his focus to cybersecurity and works as a consultant for a global asset management firm.

Hing Yan's path demonstrates how with continuous learning, expertise in one area can be applied across many domains. As a Volunteer Career Advisor, he hopes to share his lessons learned and encourage others to boldly pursue their dreams.
